Sandwich Charcuterie Board for Kids

My kiddos have become a bit more picky lately, so I am always looking for fun ways to get them to eat nutritious meals. Anything that they can help make, seems to be more enjoyable, so I came up with this sandwich charcuterie board that they can help to build and then eat their creations! I can usually count on my kids eating a sandwich so this is perfect for lunchtime!
Being able to provide my kids with nutritious meal options is so important, even if they are picky. Swapping out white bread for this Arnold Organic White Made with Whole Wheat Bread has been such an easy switch for our family! It has such a yummy taste with a soft and smooth texture. The bread is not only plant-based, USDA Organic, Non-GMO Project Verified, but is also a good source of vitamin A, vitamin D and vitamin E. Something I feel good about feeding to Dominic and Giulietta that they also enjoy!
SANDWICH CHARCUTERIE BOARD INGREDIENT IDEAS
First, we use Arnold Organic White Made with Whole Wheat Bread as our sandwich bread. The bag has Disney’s Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse on it which is an added bonus! The kids get very excited when they see the characters and love taking the bread of the bag to set up the board!
My kiddos love peanut butter, so I put some into a little dish for them to spoon onto their sandwiches. We also added some fruit options to add on top such as grapes and bananas. For some added flavors, we put some honey and cinnamon on the board.
You can really add any ingredients that your family loves. Some other charcuterie board ingredient ideas would be apples, blueberries, raspberries, or other nut butters. You could even do more savory options such as avocado or hard boiled eggs with everything bagel seasoning.
SETTING UP THE SANDWICH CHARCUTERIE BOARD
To save some time, I washed and pre cut all the fruit so that the kids could just place it onto the board. I had the kiddos help take the Arnold Organic White Made with Whole Wheat Bread out of the bag and put it onto the board.
Using some small dishes, I scooped some peanut butter into one, drizzled honey in one, and sprinkled cinnamon in one.
I put out some cookie cutters in the shape of Disney’s Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse so the kids could cut their sandwiches or put fruit into them.
After setting up the board, the kids can easily build their own sandwiches using whatever they like! It gives them options and some independence deciding on what they want to eat for lunch. Dominic and Gigi love this charcuterie board because they can snack as they go and they are so proud of their sandwich creations!
