Modern Bathroom Design Board
I am so excited to begin our bathroom renovation and I put together this modern style design board to help bring my vision to life.

I cannot believe I am actually writing this post right now, honestly. I know I had just announced that we are updating our kitchen, yet we are also in the midst of a bathroom renovation! This is so exciting and I cannot wait to take you along on this journey!
Our bathroom downstairs in our family room is quite small and very old. It’s functioning, but definitely not our style. Our toilet is very gross and so we had planned on just replacing the toilet. We had a plumber come out and he told us that the toilet was built into the tile floor, rather than being placed on top of the flooring which is normally how toilets are installed. This would mean, if we replaced the toilet, we would need to add more tile to cover up the areas that are now exposed or replace the flooring. We figured we would get a quote on replacing the flooring along with the toilet to see what our options were.
After getting a quote, our contractor told us it’s better to do the shower at the same time, as things would be much easier to do all at once rather than coming back later on to do the shower. He also offered us a nice discount to do it all at once so we figured it would be best to do it all at together and save some money in doing so!
This has all been so sudden as we really weren’t planning on doing the bathroom right now. This has kicked me into gear though and I have been searching high and low for all the inspiration and what I want our bathroom to look like! I cannot browse anymore or my eyes might fall out of my head, LOL! I love this design board and I cannot wait to see this come to life in our home!!
I am going for a modern style with some traditional and vintage inspired pieces. I want the bathroom to be timeless, but also a bit different.
Some of these things are not set in stone such as the shower and vanity faucets. I am just going for that look/color. The decor/shelves/hooks/mirror are also not final, but I do want something similar, if not these. Everything else is pretty finalized and I am loving it!!
