I’ve played around with the decor on Gigi’s dresser for a while now. I want it to be whimsical and fun for her, but also functional to store things.
I wanted to include things that I know she would love and would fit in with the rest of her room. Her room is a mix of boho, eclectic, and whimsical and I wanted the dresser to reflect that as well.

DRESSER STYLING
I like to have a dresser look cohesive, but not exactly the same on each side. I like having taller things on the sides and middle and then lower things in between. I think it creates a nice visual interest and moves your eye around.
On the left, I stacked up a couple books and put her lamp on top of it. The lamp was a gift from John Paul’s aunt, she was getting rid of it and told me to use it in our new home. It works so perfectly in her room with all the flower etchings, the pink lamp shade, and gold accents.
Her dresser would not be complete without some plants! She gets a ton of natural light so I put this peperomia in here with a pot from the Target dollar spot from a couple years ago. Next to it, I have her diffuser which is also her sound machine and night light. Such a cute little owl!
In the middle, I put this beautiful rainbow watercolor from my sister’s Etsy Shop, Boho Hope Designs. I had her custom make it using colors we have throughout her room. Next to it, I placed the duck print from Lovevery. Gigi is crazy about ducks and will scream ‘duck’ every day when she looks at it.
The 2 blue jars are filled with her headbands. My Mom and I found them at a little vintage shop when she was first born. In front of them is a sweet little girl figurine which we also found at a vintage shop.
Lastly, on the right side, I put this wooden jewelry box that my grandfather gave to Gigi. It stores oils and small little bows/clips. On top of it, I have a vintage tea pot from my Mother in Law filled with dried hydrangeas from our yard. I also have a pink polka dot plant in a cute blue planter.
I love how all of the details tie in together with the rest of her room. The blues, pinks, golds/mustards, and whites are the perfect blend.
Above her dresser, I hung this wooden coat hanger. It was a vintage find that I hang these flower string lights on and a cute straw hat she wore for her first easter. Sometimes I hang sweaters or headbands from it, but for now, I am loving this simple look.
