Winter Decor in the Living Room
This post is in partnership with Christmas Tree Shops andThat!, a brand I love. All opinions here are my own.
After the craziness from Christmas, I am ready for a more simple winter decor look in the living room!
I have already transformed our dining room, which you can see here.
The winter decor in the living room is full of simple items that make a big statement.
WINTER DECOR LIVING ROOM IDEAS
After seeing that Christmas Tree Shops andThat! launched a new collection called Grainhouse, I had to check it out! It is all farmhouse inspired decor at very reasonable pricing. The collection includes decor, furniture, pillows, rugs, lamps, frames, kitchenware, and more!
I found all of these new winter decor items at CTS. They are simple and will be able to easily transition from season to season which I love! Lots of white washed wood tones and grays are my jam for the winter season (and beyond!).
MIRROR
I have said this before, but our living room is an awkward shape being long and somewhat narrow. I always kind of get hung up by this corner near the barn doors. It feels strange to not have anything on the wall here, but I have never found anything that felt ‘right’ here. Cue this AMAZING mirror from CTS.
As soon as I saw this mirror (only available in stores right now) at Christmas Tree Shops andThat!, I had to have it for this space. It is the perfect shade of white washed/distressed wood and I love the mini shiplap feel. The curve of the mirror ties into the curvy lines I love so much. It also helps to bring in more light by reflecting the light from the window that is across from it.
END TABLES
I never realized I was really in the market for different end tables until I came across these beauties ! For $50, I could not pass them up! They are the perfect height for our couches. I love the wooden tops and the distressed white legs. They have perfect distressing that makes them look aged and chippy, but not overdone.
I love the curvy legs and top to match all my other favorite curves in the living room. I love how open and airy they feel. They really open up the space I think. They are also super simple to put together!
DECOR
I also found some fun decor touches to add to our living room. CTS had so many amazing pillows at unbelievable prices! I grabbed these 22" gray grain stripe pillows for our main couch. I love how they pull in the grays from the walls and rug. They also match really well with our other pillows.
This tray (only available in store right now) on the coffee table was something I had been looking for, for some time. I wanted something rectangle and in the gray family. A lot of times these wicker baskets are more of a wood/brown tone so I picked this up at CTS and it is exactly what I wanted. It is perfect to hold glasses, mugs, and cute decor pieces!
Lastly, I got this adorable little lamp for our cabinet at the front of our living room. With no overhead lighting in here, we have a few lamps throughout the room. The front of the room always felt so dark and now this little cutie lights up the front of the room just perfectly. Best part, it’s $10!! I love it so much and it comes in a few other colors.
Winter decor doesn’t have to be over the top at all. A few small changes and you have a fresh blank slate for the season. I really don’t go all out, but by adding a few new touches, the room feels very different.
If you haven’t been to your local Christmas Tree Shop andThat! lately, be sure to stop in and check out this Grainhouse line. I was super impressed and I think you will be too! If you don’t have one closeby, check out their website so that you can get these goodies shipped to you :)
What kind of decor do you like for winter?
Thank you for stopping by the blog!
