Penny tile has been around since the early 1900’s. I think it’s had somewhat of a rebirth lately. I love the cottage and simple vibes it gives off when using it in your home. It’s easy to install and easy to clean. They come in round and hexagon shapes. They are also made from all different materials from porcelain to metal to glass to ceramic and stone.
Penny tile flooring is fun because you can make it into lots of different patterns. Some penny tile is sold in patterns that is laid as is, but some is sold as single colors that can be broken up and put into your own unique pattern.
For our bathroom makeover, which you can see all of, HERE, we used penny tile and I absolutely love the look of it. It’s perfect for a smaller size bathroom as it won’t be too busy. I love the classic black and white look too.
It’s also great for backsplash!
TRY THE TREND WITH PENNY TILE
I was so excited to include penny tile in our bathroom makeover. I love the flower pattern. It’s charming yet modern.
I think penny tile is a classic way to update flooring since it’s been around for so long.
If you aren’t in the market for a full flooring update, you can still try out the penny tile trend! I found some fun penny tile inspired mats and rugs that would be so cute!
