The Best Warm and Cool White Paint Colors
I love white paint as I think it’s so fresh and allows you to do whatever you want in the room decorwise.
See our paint colors in our last house, HERE.
These are the best warm and cool toned white paint colors that we have used in our home. They are so cozy and inviting and I think they would look great in any home!

We have several shades of white paint colors in our home. Each are unique and beautiful and are so cozy.
It’s crazy how many different shades and tones of white paint there is. There are warm and cool undertones and can really change the look of a space depending on what you are going for.
WARM WHITE PAINT
The main color in our home is Behr Sweet Coconut Milk.
It’s the color in our kitchen, living room, dining room (SEE THE DINING ROOM HERE), hall ways (SEE THE ENTRYWAY HERE), and family room (SEE THE FAMILY ROOM HERE) on the lower half of the wall.
I love this shade of white! It’s so warm and inviting. It truly feels like coconut milk with it’s milky/creamy tone. Makes me want to just snuggle up under blankets. I love that it’s warm, but not too yellow, beige, or orange. It still works well with cooler toned decor. It plays nicely with our honey colored flooring too. It’s very neutral and bright.
Our bedroom is Smoky White by Behr. It’s a nice, warm toned white. It has more gray/blue undertones than Sweet Coconut Milk which plays perfectly with the gray upholstered bed we have. We have lots of black and white furniture in our bedroom and the Smoky White color is a nice compliment.
I do balance out a lot of the cool tones with some gold accents to warm up the space. The Smoky White color doesn’t overpower so it can blend well with warmer and cooler tones
COOL WHITE PAINT
Weathered White by Behr is another white shade in our home.
This color is on Dominic’s bedroom walls (SEE HIS ROOM HERE) opposite his accent wall of Cracked Pepper by Behr. This is a cool toned white with lots of gray/blue/undertones.
It’s perfect for the dark black wall which has some blue hints to it. It’s cool yet still cozy. It isn’t too stark either which I find can happen with cooler toned paint colors. It’s bright, but more moody which is perfect for a bedroom, I think.
I don’t think there are really any wrong paint color choices. It’s truly all personal preference. In our last home, I leaned more towards cooler tones, but I’m finding, I gravitate more towards warmer colors in this house.
These are our favorite white shades and we took a long time to decide which shades to use. We picked up lots of paint chips and help them up in all the rooms and narrowed it down as we realized what tones we loved. I do think picking warm tone or cool tone paint colors help to keep some cohesion in a house, but again, no rules, just do what feels the best!
