Multitasking with Two Young Children
This post is sponsored by Ergobaby, however all thoughts and opinions are my own.
Multitasking with two young children is so important to our daily routine.
In order to get things done with two young children, multitasking is key so I try to implement these tips to help me out!
After having Giulietta, I quickly learned that getting things done around the house would require lots of multitasking. Having 2 kids under 2 when Gigi was born was a big change for us, so I figured out ways to get things done.
I found 2 major tips that have helped me tremendously in getting our daily tasks complete while having a toddler and a baby.
TIPS FOR MULTITASKING
Babywearing
Babywearing has been a lifesaver! I can get so much done while Giulietta is awake by wearing her. She loves being in the action and by using our Ergobaby Omni 360, she can be involved with each task.
Giulietta is a very curious baby and ever since she was born, she has always wanted to be doing whatever Dominic and I were doing. The Ergobaby Omni 360 has been great because it can grow with her. It fits babies from 7-45lbs with no extra infant insert needed.
She can also be worn in several different positions including frontward, inward, on my back, or on my hip. She loves being able to face outward to see what is happening.
It’s comfortable for me because of the lumbar support. There is also a large front pocket which is so convenient for taking walks to keep my keys, wallet, and phone in.
Since we are staying home, we have been taking daily walks. It’s so nice being able to put G in the Ergobaby and allow D to walk. He feels like such a big boy and G can take in all the scenery—win, win!
I love babywearing as it allows me to be close to Gigi while also being able to take care of Dominic. Gigi can help me water my plants, meal prep, do my hair, or clean. We even have dance parties while wearing the Ergobaby!
Plus, there are so many benefits to babywearing from bonding, to promoting calmness in Mama and baby, to aiding in baby’s development, to keeping baby happy, and more!
Time Management/Planning
I find that if I plan out my day, I can get a lot more done. I try to set daily goals of what I want to get done around the house. This is usually just a loose plan that is tentative as I know the day can quickly change. Being able to put Gigi in the Ergobaby carrier is so helpful when plans change too!
Having a plan for the day makes tasks less daunting and overwhelming.
I try to keep a similar schedule/routine for the kids so that they know what to expect each day. I thrive on schedules and routines and having one in place helps me which in turn, helps the kiddos.
By babywearing and planning our days, I can multitask a lot easier. Having 2 young children makes tasks a bit harder, but these tips have helped me accomplish a lot more.
We love our Ergobaby Omni 360 carrier and I think you will find it useful too!
