Faux Fireplace Christmas Decor
We don’t have a real fireplace, but I still like to pretend and put up Christmas decor on our TV stand.

This faux fireplace is full of Christmas decor and makes it feel like we have a cozy fire in our living room!

Our home doesn’t have a fireplace, but I love fireplaces so I decided to pretend like we have one with our TV stand. It’s the perfect way to display fun garlands and stockings, if you too don’t have a mantle in your home.
I love the look of a fireplace mantle decorated for Christmas. The flowing garlands and hanging stockings are so cozy to me. Even though we don’t have a fireplace, this faux fireplace feels real!
FIREPLACE DECOR
I wanted to have a place to hang our stockings this year. Last year I put them in a big bowl on the bookshelf, but this year, I thought, let me hang them from the TV stand. I started by putting tacks into the TV stand and hung the stockings on the right hand side.
Next, I put a couple tacks next to the stockings to hang the ornament garland and the green garland. The ornament garland is heavy so I draped it across the front of the TV stand for extra stability and had it hang off the left side of the TV stand. The green garland is lighter so it can hang down further which creates such great movement for the faux fireplace. The green garland is also longer which is nice so it hangs and drapes down to the floor on the left side.
I wanted to tie in some more of the red from the rest of the room so I used this fun red and white yarn/ribbon to drape across the entire length of the TV stand. It’s a nice pop of color on the left and hides the tacks on the right with the stockings! Win, win!!
For the sides, I just used a bottle brush tree and wire tree with my diffuser and big urn. Since the rest of the TV stand has lots of things, I wanted to keep the sides a little more simple.
Next to the TV stand, I put these beautiful reindeers. Similar to how you would decorate a hearth for a fireplace, I wanted to create a similar feel. They are whimsical and fun!
To really turn this into a faux fireplace, I searched on YouTube for Christmas Fireplace scene and this beautiful one came up that plays music too. It was the perfect setting for decorating our tree!
I truly love how this turned out. It’s so cozy and warm and feels like we have a real fireplace in our home. Do you have a fireplace in your home that you decorate for the holidays?
