Christmas Home Tour
I love Christmas and I am so happy to have you on this home tour with me!
Last week I made this super easy DIY Christmas garland that got me all excited for Christmas!
Let’s get this Christmas home tour started!
Happy December! This is going to be a great month! Tomorrow, is my 27th birthday & my sister, brother, & best friend will be in town to celebrate!!! We will be hosting our first Christmas party this upcoming weekend. We have lots of fun holiday parties lined up for the rest of the month too! All ending with a big Christmas celebration at my parent's house in MA. Bring on December!
I am SO excited to share with you our Christmas Home Tour. I have teamed up with some very talented bloggers to bring you this Home Tour: Christmas edition :)
I have been sharing sneak peaks of lots of our Christmas Decor, but today I wanted to share with you our porch, dining room, & our big Christmas tree reveal!
Let's start on the front porch & I'll walk you through our home. Our front porch is one of the first things that drew me to our home. It is so inviting & makes you want to sit & relax. I have enjoyed decking it out for each season, but I have to say, Christmas has been my favorite so far.
I kept it pretty simple because I wanted the lights to do all the talking! I took my vintage sled that I got at Crompton Collective in Worcester, MA & leaned it against our front door. My mom visited me about a month ago & chalk painted that Believe sign for me.
I had a mini Christmas tree that I put in a basket for the other side of the door. Anything flocked has been a huge trend for me this season. I decided all of our wreaths & garland outside would be flocked. The wreath on our front door is from Target & the 2 on our windows are from Walmart. The flocked garland is from Home Goods.
We strung up the lights this week & at first we really didn't know what we wanted to do. We only have one outlet in the front yard & I didn't want extension cords everywhere so we came up with this plan which I think works really well! Our home feels so festive! I love how sparkly it looks at night!
Now let's come inside to our dining room. I know that you have seen this space a lot, but I wanted to just share a few snapshots of the room. I stayed with a very neutral theme in our dining room. Lots of greenery, mini trees, & twinkle lights added to the ambiance. I love how this room came together.
I will share our Christmas Table Scape with you next week. I have some fun ideas for our Christmas Party this weekend!
NOW! Onto the big reveal! Our Christmas Tree! I have been thinking of what I wanted to do for our Christmas Tree for so long. I decided I wanted it very simple & neutral.
We got a Douglas Fir tree so the branches cannot hold that many ornaments which I was totally okay with. I used some simple silver bulbs from IKEA, some wooden bead garland from Hobby Lobby, some thick burlap ribbon from Hobby Lobby, & white lights.
I used a drop cloth as a tree skirt because I could not find one that I really liked. I was planning to put this in a basket, but it ended up being too heavy of a tree so I used the basket for the dining room tree.
I love the smell this tree gives off. Our whole house smells like Christmas, it's incredible! I decided to skip the tree topper this year because I wanted a very natural & fuss-free tree.
Here is a glance at the rest of our living room all spruced up for Christmas. My pillows are on a rotation it seems LOL I constantly move them from spot to spot. I may have found their permanent home?
I love this time of year. I have been waiting since March (when we moved in) to decorate for Christmas. It's been so fun styling each space. I wanted our home to feel magical & I truly think I accomplished that.
Please be sure to check out my talented friends for their beautiful home tours:
What is your favorite way to decorate for Christmas? Do you go the traditional red & green, more neutral, or something different?
