Winter Wonderland Christmas Dining Room
Thank you to JOANN for sponsoring this post. All opinions and thoughts are my own. Thank you for supporting brands I love!
I wanted to create a winter wonderland for our dining room this Christmas!
With the help of JOANN, I was able to create this dreamy winter wonderland using their pretty seasonal items! I had so much fun shopping at JOANN, I love their seasonal decor! If you missed it, check out our porch and halloween tablescape.
Come enter our winter wonderland Christmas dining room!
Living in Buffalo, NY, we are often walking in a winter wonderland during the Christmas season. I wanted our dining room to feel just like that with lots of ‘snow,’ greenery, and little villages.
Christmas is my favorite season to decorate for and I had the best time shopping at JOANN for all these Christmas goodies! They have something for every single Christmas style. I was truly amazed at the assortment and even spoke with one of the employees about all the varieties of styles JOANN has this season!
Let’s walk around this winter wonderland and start at the table! I hung these super easy to make cut out snowflakes and hung them from the ceiling to create some whimsical movement. You can find the exact details on how to make the snowflakes on the JOANN app.
Under the snowy ‘sky,’ I laid down some white minky fabric and layered it with snow mesh . I stuck in tons of different picks to add some dimension and texture. Here is the icy branch and the snowy branch . I wanted it to look like a frosty ground with snowy and icy branches. On top, I put 2 large and 2 small flocked mini trees and these little wooden houses ( HERE and HERE ).
To complete the table, I added some simple white plates and placed this wooden snowflake cutout for guests to take home and use as an ornament, if they’d like! On the back of each of the chairs, I added some little mini flocked wreaths. I made them using flocked garland cut into pieces and wrapped together with fur ribbon. They add the perfect bit of greenery to the chairs!
Grab your snow boots and let’s move back to the buffet. I loved building this little, snowy village. I draped some flocked greenery around my favorite vintage chalkboard and window. This greenery is my favorite find from JOANN! I want it all over my house this Christmas season, it's beautiful! It drapes so perfectly, it has cute little pinecones on it, and it's the prettiest shade of green.
On the buffet, I used wooden bird houses to create a Christmas village. I love the natural wood color and all the different style houses. I used this log cabin style house , a church , and a farmhouse style house . In between I used a windmill (another option) and mini barn . I added in these little sisal Christmas trees to add a little more detail in the village. The village sparkles with these fun rope lights .
Are you covered in snow yet? Let’s make our way to the antique cabinet. I carried the same greenery over here and draped it over the vintage gate. I layered this beautiful white stick wreath on top and strung this jingle bell garland over it. On the cabinet, I used the same snow mesh and added more greenery. For a simple little tablescape, I added these adorable white tree candles. They are so fun and when they burn, the branches lower down!
One last stop on this wonderland trip, the barn door area! I added this flocked wreath to the door using fur ribbon (in stores). On the table in front of it, I found these cute bud vases and filled them with some snowy greenery picks.
I had so much fun being your tour guide on this little Christmas winter wonderland tour! I hope you feel like you’re walking in a Christmas village covered with snow wrapped in a warm coat and big furry boots!
Be sure to stop over at JOANN for all your Christmas decor this season! I can't wait for Santa to come visit our Winter Wonderland :)
