Lighting can really change the look of your home. It makes such a big impact!
The lights on the exterior of our home were outdated, crooked/broken, and not our style. I wanted to update them to fit our style better. We also didn’t have functioning lights so as a safety measure, we wanted the lights fixed.
Our home has a lot of mid century vibes as it was built in the 1960s. I didn’t want to stray too far, but also wanted something simple, classic, and timeless. I also wanted to make sure I was paying attention to the scale of the lights. The exterior of our home is somewhat small so I didn’t want any light fixture that would look too heavy or big.
I found these beautiful lights from Lights Online and they are perfect! I love the size of them. They are matte black and look beautiful when on.
I love the lantern shape of these lights. The curved top to the more square bottom, it's really pretty. It’s a good mix of modern, mid century, and traditional, which is exactly what I wanted.
They make the exterior of our home look much more updated. Little by little, we will get there, but this is a big step!
