Living Room Bookshelf Styling

I love our bookshelves in the living room and styling them all different ways.

Check out my simple spring coffee table centerpiece idea, HERE.

I don’t switch up the bookshelf decor too often, but I love styling these living room shelves for each season!

I love having these bookshelves in our living room. They add so much functionality to the space with all of the storage they offer.

I love styling them in a way that brings in the colors I used throughout our living room. Pops of green, blues, pinks, white/cream, and black. I like adding different textures such as the seagrass, felt, metal, glass, and wood.

I keep the storage items on the bottom for easy access. Since we don’t have much storage for our dining room, I put our dining table linens in the baskets. I also keep some art materials for the kids in the baskets so that we can easily color at the table when they want.

I love having plants on shelves. Plants and shelves just kind of go together, in my opinion. I love the dimension they add. They kind of give a space some life too! See my plant tour, HERE.

I like my bookshelves to be cohesive, but not symmetrical. I want it all to look balanced, but not too matchy, matchy.

I find having a color palette that blends well together, helps to set the tone for bookshelves. I love keeping things pretty neutral, but adding in small pops of color. I also think adding a few art prints can help add a little more color, if you are looking for something just slight.
