Counting Macros with Stronger U

I’ve been using Stronger U for a little over a month now. What I love about this program is you can go into it knowing absolutely nothing about counting macros. I’m no macro expert yet, but I have definitely learned a lot these past 5-6 weeks, and each day I’m learning more and understanding it all better.
GETTING STARTED WITH THE STRONGER U APP, NUTRITION COACH, AND MY MACRO GOALS
To get you paired with your personal nutrition coach, the first thing you do is create a profile for yourself by filling out a questionnaire during sign-up. It asks all sorts of questions, from what you are looking to get out of the program, your goals, your current workout routine, if you have any dietary restrictions, your ideal coach type, and more.
In the meantime, you’ll download the Stronger U app (where all the magic happens) and within 48 hours of filling out the questionnaire, you are connected with your new nutrition coach! They are so hands-on and literally guide you step-by-step in helping you be successful and reach your goals. My coach is amazing and it’s so helpful to have someone in my corner for accountability and support! Coaches check in once a week, but are also super responsive for any questions that may come up during the day.
Your coach will set up a macro count goal for you to track toward each day. The app allows you to input your food, and it saves your recipes and foods you use often to make updating your daily log easy. Plus, it also tracks your water intake, your workouts, your weight and measurements, how you are feeling each day, and how full or hungry you are each day. The app is also where you message your coach!
Although this might sound overwhelming, Stronger U has tons of resources each day on the app that you can read through to learn more about macros and how to make this an easy lifestyle change for yourself so that it eventually becomes a habit!

There is SO much information out there about macro counting that I felt so confused and lost on how to start and how to figure out what my daily macro goals should be.

I think this has been a true testament as I have been doing this through the holiday season. My coach encourages me to enjoy the holiday parties and events and to not feel bad about it.
Counting macros is not a diet, it’s a lifestyle change and something that I’m really enjoying. I really haven’t had to change my daily meals that much, except for the fact that I was definitely not eating enough beforehand. I’m actually shocked at how much more I have been eating while reaching my macro goals each day. My macros are set relatively higher since I’m nursing the baby.
