We have mastered the best way to make brussel sprouts! This is so fool proof and comes out delicious every time!
This makes such a great side dish in the winter or the summer. It pairs great with grilled chicken, meatloaf, or as a hash topped with an egg and ground turkey.
BRUSSEL SPROUT RECIPE
INGREDIENTS
1 lb brussel sprouts, cut into quarters or halves depending on the size
5-6 pieces of thick cut bacon
1 small onion, diced
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 1/2 tbsp balsamic
DIRECTIONS
Heat a large cast iron pan on medium heat
Add the bacon slices and cook until crisp (8-10 mins), flipping occasionally
Remove the bacon when fully cooked and place on a paper towel lined plate
Turn the heat down to medium low, add the diced onions and brussel sprouts
Note: if there is a lot of bacon grease, you may want to drain a little bit
Add the salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder and stir to combine
Saute the brussel sprouts until crisp and cooked through (about 10-15 mins)
While the brussels are cooking, chop the bacon into small pieces
When the brussels are done, add in the bacon pieces and drizzle the balsamic over everything
Cook another 1 minute to allow the balsamic to thicken a bit and coat everything
Serve immediately and ENJOY!
These are seriously delish!! We love them so much and I hope you do too!
