10 Things I'm Grateful For

I think we could all use a little positivity right now so I started to think of 10 things I’m grateful for!

There are so many things to be grateful for and these are just 10 that I have thought of in hopes of inspiring you to think of all the things you are grateful for too!

With the world so uncertain right now, I have been reflecting on everything and trying to see the positive in this entire situation. In doing so, I came up with 10 things (although there are more!) that I am grateful for right now. I didn’t include my family/friends as that is a given and I wanted to really think of things I don’t typically think of when posed with the question: what are you grateful for?

In no particular order, here are 10 things I’m grateful for!

I’M GRATEFUL FOR:

  1. The Spring Weather: We have had a lot of warmer days lately which have been so uplifting. If this was all going down in the dead of winter, I think my mood would shift a lot more

  2. Modern medicine: How amazing to have access to so many incredible doctors, nurses, scientists, psychologists, medications, procedures, vaccinations, etc?!

  3. Technology: Think about it…we can still connect with others even while not physically being with one another due to technology!

  4. A fridge and pantry of groceries: we don’t typically stock up on food, we buy food for the week ahead and that’s it. Through this pandemic, we have bought more food than we normally do so that we can limit our exposure to the grocery store. We aren’t hoarding anything, but just stocking our freezer with extra meat and buying more fruits/veggies than normal so that we can extend our times between grocery shopping. It’s not lost on me that this isn’t everyone’s reality and that some people cannot do this.

  5. My Body: The fact that I am healthy and able to take care of my babies, walk around, workout, make meals, work from home, nurse Giulietta. Our bodies are incredible!!

  6. A warm and safe house: Although it is Spring, we still have chilly days and need the heat on. Our home is our sanctuary and I feel so safe and loved here.

  7. My job and this community: I’m so thankful I can continue to work and do it from the safety of our home. Although it looks a bit different now and a lot of projects have come to a halt, I still have lots to share and work on. Also, having YOU in my life right now is so special. It feels a lot less alone knowing that I have you in my corner too.

  8. My plants: I’ve always loved my plants, but having them right now has been so refreshing. Seeing them grow and having something to tend to outside of my family has been so rewarding. It’s also been nice having Dominic help me and teaching him about the plants.

  9. Skincare routine: Sounds silly to be grateful for something so small in the grand scheme of life, but these days, the little things are what’s helping me through each day. I find it soothing to do my skincare routine each day and night because that’s part of my ‘normal’ daily routine.

  10. Iced Coffee: This has been a nice pick up in the afternoon and something I look forward to when the kids take naps. I have been playing around with all different flavor shots using my vitality oils. Right now, I’m loving adding 1 drop of cinnamon bark to my coffee—so good!

Of course, I’m beyond grateful for my kids, my husband, my family, my friends, etc. This has truly put everything into perspective. I was actually just saying this to John Paul yesterday on our walk, if we have learned anything from this experience, we have learned what TRULY matters in life and that is the health and well being of our family.

I hope this helps you stop and think of some things that you are truly grateful for outside of your loved ones. It makes this uncertain time a little less daunting and you can appreciate the small things a bit more :)
