I love supporting small business.  There are just so many talented people out there that can really make your house feel like a home.

Our friend, Matt just recently turned his hobby of wood working into a small business called American Rustic Works.  He is a veteran that loves making coffee tables, benches, small signs, decor items, & seasonal pieces.  He can also do custom work!  He has 2 amazing children that have influenced him to follow his dreams of starting this business.  Find him on Instagram at @american_rusticworks !

Matt has made us several pieces so far & we already have a list going of future projects for him.  He does quality workmanship.  He is so easy to work with & has accommodated all of my somewhat crazy requests with color, style, wood choices, etc.

Here are some of the pieces he's made for us...

The coffee table is one of my favorite pieces. The colors are so rustic that it works so well in our bright Sun Room. It's so sturdy & heavy that it will last for a long time!

The TV stand is another beauty! This piece I wanted all white washed which Matt did flawlessly. It has so many shelves that it holds all our DVDs, Nintendo Games (yes we have Nintendo!), cable boxes, etc. It really is a great piece that works so well in our Sun Room.

This bench was our first piece from American Rustic Works.  The cubbies are perfect to hold shoes in our Entry Way.  It sometimes becomes a catch all which makes it so functional.
